Alternative Learning System

Alternative Learning System

Course Description:

The Alternative Learning System (ALS) is a “parallel or substitute learning system” implemented by the Department of Education (DepEd), an option for those who cannot access formal education in schools.  ALS learning is community-based, modular, and flexible that can take place anytime and anywhere, depending on the “convenience and availability of the learners.” ALS is facilitated by mobile teachers, district coordinators, and instructional managers.  This arrangement can help out-of-school children and youth, working students, adult learners, and teenage parents to complete their basic education in a “mode that fits their distance situations and needs.”

This online ALS reviewer helps learners prepare for their Accreditation and Equivalency Test. This e-module is in partnership with DepEd-Quezon City Division.

How to Enroll in ALS:

  1. Click the Access button and click Enroll Me.
  2. Enter the enrollment key ALS0001.  (NOTE:  If you are a Plan International beneficiary, please contact your Plan W4W Project Officer/Coordinator and request for the enrollment key).
